Ok, it's June already and the school holidays are here!! Not for me though. I'm abstaining myself from any travels for the time being. I'm keeping myself contented by watching Discovery Travel & Living though haha

What Has Been Happening?

Hey guys! It's been a far stretch hasn't it?

I'm really sorry that I have not been writing here for the past months...the pages are all dusty now. I realise I have lots of catching up to do.

So let us see where we were, where we have been, and where we are now.

I am still holding on to the job. I'm not ready yet to let go and go IM full-time. As much as I hate the job, I have to put my family in priority. Until I see my IM career going steady and non-dependent, I will stick with the job for now.

It's been a struggle lately, to be honest. The job has been very shitty to say the least. I can go on yakking about it all day, but let us not stain this post now. What I can say is the job has taken a toll on my physical well being. I come home already tired and drained out. No thanks too to the long distance travel to and from work.

But that will not stop me from chasing my dreams. A winner will make things happen instead of waiting to see if it does.

I have come up with a work plan that I will follow for all campaigns that I go through. This work plan is a master timetable that I use to carry out the different tasks needed for my online biz for every single day of the week.

Want to know how my timetable sounds like?

Weekdays (2130hrs - 2330hrs): Writing and submitting 2x articles and updating my niche blog.

Saturdays (1630hrs - 2130hrs): Writing 4x articles and doing further research on niche (content and competition)

Sundays (0700hrs - 0800hrs): Updating my niche blog. The rest of the day is free for tweaking my website, doing niche research, and writing 4x articles.

Sounds very taxing and demanding? It may sound like it. But when you see the success it brings, all the hard work that you put in makes the success even much sweeter.

I won't share with you my current success for now. I'm planning to make it a surprise someday :)

Take care everyone, and grab the abundance around you!

$1000 In A Day? That's "un"possible!

Wouldn't you love waking up from your sleep and seeing $1,113.23 earnings ? In just one day?

Thanks TopyDim for letting me use your Clickbank screenshot! :)

What I'm saying is, nothing is impossible in affiliate marketing. Just be determined to achieve what you want, and you'll eventually find your way to it.

TopyDim is just one of the few Wealthy Affiliate members who've succeeded. There are many other members who are now living better lives than before.

As for me, I'm walking over to that part of my life - the happYness part.

Good News From Clickbank!

I just happened to click around Clickbank and realize a press release dated 16 Dec 08. Ok, I'm very outdated, but this is very encouraging news to fellow Singaporeans dealing with Clickbank.

Singapore is now eligible for direct deposit for generated commissions. This means you do not need to wait for the cheque to be mailed over, deposit to the bank, and wait another 3 weeks for it to clear :)

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

As you may well know, I work in a day job and spend my free time doing affiliate marketing. This is not out of my interest to earn more money. Instead, this is out of my NEED to earn more money.

But does affiliate marketing work? And is the money good?

Affiliate marketing does work. Otherwise, I won't be writing to you about it. I have earned money out of it... not as much as I wanted to, but at least it shows affiliate marketing is not a faux hope to earn money.

I have personally known friends (whom I've made from Wealthy Affiliate) who earns more than US$1500 every month (which is around what I earn from my day job), quit their jobs, and earn even more. I've also seen young people like me earning an average of $500 a day.

A day. That's right.

But let me draw the line here. Being that successful in affiliate marketing is not easy. It IS easy to start off small and earn some loose change every month.

But to get to the point where you do not need the day job you hate, it takes:

1) Self-belief
2) Perseverance
3) Discipline

Having said that, it takes all three to succeed in the corporate world too. The only difference is, in the corporate world, you'll need luck/skill to avoid hypocrites, back-stabbers, boss pets etc. to climb the ladder.

So why is affiliate marketing a viable career option for me?

In one word: freedom.

Who wouldn't want the freedom to toil and sweat for your own good (and not for The Man to enjoy in his 3-storey bungalow), see the fruits of your labor, and just "rinse-and-repeat" to compound your rewards?

I'd like the freedom to work in a place I feel comfortable at that particular time, arrange my schedule to my liking, and spend the better part of my life with my loved ones.

Affiliate marketing is the true mobile career. Anywhere you are connected to the Internet, you are reporting to work. Anywhere you roam, you are doing your research. Anytime throughout the day you are possibly earning money without knowing it.

But I have to stress this again to you - don't believe people if they say you can start making thousands a month just by a click.

The learning curve to affiliate marketing starts with a gentle gradient. That's where you start learning the basics, earn a few bucks, and start getting excited.

To reach your pinnacle of success, it takes more learning, time sacrificing, and brain cracking.

I owe it to Wealthy Affiliate for getting me started, and getting to know these people whose success stories I aim to emulate.

2009 is said to be a tough year. Let's see if we can defy the odds yea?

Much love for 09,

Herwin

Note To Myself

Television is only good for news, infomercials, and the occasional footie.

Other than that, keep focused!

ps, this only applies to me and in no way am I advocating a no-TV stance.

Determination Has Taken Over Me

I'm determined to make this work.

I will see the success that I've been working for.

I don't care about my sore eyes, my painful back, my trembling limbs.

I just want to see the results soon.

A Small Reward

I received another cheque today worth US$260 :)

It's not much, but it will do. I am grateful for whatever comes my way. Let's hope the US dollar will continue to rise ey?

It shouldn't be this hard to be successful in Affiliate Marketing, but I'm putting in extra hours and sacrificing sleep just to accelerate my progress. I don't want to be stuck in this rut any longer.

The job has been incredibly stupid. So it would be a nice reward to finally kick it to the boss and depend on just my hard work to justify my rewards.

I will get there. I know I will. I'll meet you there.

I Believe In Miracles

It's now close to a year since my dad was first admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with coronary artery disease. He's since been admitted in and out of hospital for 4 times, gone under the knife for a coronary artery bypass surgery, and now painfully recovering at home.

It's now close to a year since I started bearing a doubled financial responsibility. With my dad not working, my brother and myself took up the shared responsibility to put food on the table and light up the home.

It's now close to a year since I have managed to somehow miraculously have enough money to both pay off my own bills and debts, and also provide money for food and our monthly house loan.

I don't know how I did it. I didn't get any pay raise in my job. I don't even have a high paying job to start with. I did not borrow money from anybody, except for that one loan I took from the bank. I didn't have any surplus savings in my bank when this whole episode started.

And that is why I believe in miracles. And I am very proud of myself. I am my own hero.

I believe that my family and I do not have to suffer. I always believed there will be abundant wealth enough for us. I knew we will make it through.

And we have done so. True to my belief, we have done so.

I thank God for the miracles blessed upon us. I know my eventual destination, and I know I will get there too.

A Dagger To The Back

How does it feel like to have someone use your name to create bad, and subsequently portray his good facade to cover the shit that has my name all over it? In other words, saving his reputation at the expense of the good of mine.

It's happened to me too many times, particularly in this job. I can't even describe the breed of humans that make up the management team. Do they even exist outside of this office?

How do you deal with such creatures? Do you stab them from the back too - literally, maybe?

I don't do that. Such cowardly actions are only for bastards, or their breed.

My name is a sacred valuable asset in my life. If someone else tarnishes it with his bucket of soil, that someone will have to pay for it.

I'll have to start with clearing my name for now.

Bastards, the whole lot of them.
